I had an interview at King’s College London yesterday and decided afterwards to go hang around in London for a bit.

Advice: NEVER walk from Westminster to Leicester Square. It ain’t worth it mate. Mind you, I suppose it was all worth it for getting the chance to see the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, Chinatown (dodgy place), Leicester Square. All of that in a 1 mile walk!

Oxford Street rulz though! All those amazing shops!

Regent Shop is fabulous just for the Apple Store. I took a picture of myself on there!

Bond Street is worth going if you’re one who buys the top brands e.g. Prada, Gucci, Armani. I saw this amazing Armani shirt for £250…….(but I couldn’t afford it…..)

Harrods is absolutely fantastic! There are no other words to describe it!

I went off to the Science Museum later to see the Virgin Galactic - quite interesting!

What a day guys! (in fact, what a chemistry lesson!)

Me and Simon were doing an experiment at the back of the class - we had a blue solution of vanadate ions and we trying to convert it to a green solution of vanadate ions by adding concentrated nitric acid. It just wasn’t bloody working!

We were packing everything up when I suddenly remembered - when I did the same experiment on tuesday, it turned green first, then purple as I hadn’t bothered to filter out the zinc in the solution!

So in the spur of the moment, without any lab coats, safety glasses or gloves, i got our test tube, held it up, added some powdered zinc and POOF!!!!!

There was a mini-explosion in the test tube, orange colured gas was released, the test tube was boiling hot! - but the good news was that the solution turned green - the bad news was the explosion!

Me and Simon quickly cleared everything away hoping no one noticed! Then this silly girl, Claire, asked Lara (our chemistry teacher), why was it so smoky at the back of the class?
Then Lara asked me, initially I said nothing but then I spilt the beans. Surprisingly, she took it in good humour as well!

We index and pinky finger had turned yellow - i was holding the test tube with that hand! So Lara got me to wash my hands - however, the yellow stuff wasn’t coming off. Lara reckoned it was toxin aqueous vanadate. So she sent me off to the college nurse. College nurse told me to wait inside her room for one minute and she went outside for a few minutes. When she came back, she had Lara and Jenny (my old chemistry teacher) with her! We had a bit of a laugh - I explained myself once again.

Jenny said that there hasn’t been an explosion since her own son who blew up a test tube! LOL! I am so glad Graham (head of chemistry) didn’t find out - though he’ll probably know by now. Jenny and me had a good old chat - but it was all a bit of a laugh.

I’m really surprised how everyone took it in good humour! I then had to fill in an accident report form and that’s the end of the matter. For the rest of the day, my fingers remained yellow! Lol!

Perspectives was cancelled so us guys headed off to McDonalds. Vince needed 3 Big Macs to satisfy himself! What a twat! Dan was eating McFlurry despite his lactose-intolerancy! Vincent started using chips (french fries) as poker chips! WTF! LOL!

We then headed off to Tk-Max - this new clothes store there - what a store! For the first time, I actually enjoyed the shopping! Bough a £70 suede jacket, £13 shirt, £30 hoodie - £113 of stuff! Not bad, hey!

The college is really starting to piss me off now.Once again, they’ve given me a full weekend. What prats!

Work to do:

Chemistry: re-edit coursework plan, prepare some resources for class on vanadium

Biology: 2 sheets, make drawings and notes from pg. 108-110 and another thing…

Maths: do RS 3, review mechanics and core 4

German: learn vocabulary

POS: send david definitions of science and philosophy

darn…that really is a lot…

Me and Vincent went off to the inn after college yesterday. We stayed till about 5.10-ish and walked back home. Vincent has one heck of an ego! “are you the one who got 624 votes?” honestly vince…

claire seems to be becoming a whore now. She’s had sex with luke 17 times over the past week. What the hell? No one goes that far! Now she’s unhappy because she’s been grounded for the weekend. So that means…no sex…no drinking…no partying…no cock! Shame…

I haven’t a clue about my chemistry coursework! I’m hoping I can blag my way through this one- hopefully my chem teacher won’t notice that my calculations are completely crap!

Meanwhile, as I’ve done pretty much all of my homework during the weekend - I’m left with only my german vocabulary to go through. I’ll do that at 1800hrs.

Vincent was digging a hole for himself in Advanced Biology today! What an idiot! His cure for breast cancer: Cut your boobs off! Lol! The girls were about to rip him apart! Lol! Brigitte had to calm the entire situation down!

Why on earth has singapore banned the far east economic review journal? that is absolutely pathetic! What did the journal do wrong? Publish an article about Singapore’s opposition leader?

LKY gets more and more pathetic every day. He just wants to maintain complete control over the country’s media. Amazing isn’t it, how all state media is under government control. What a shambles!

In fact, why bother calling singapore a democracy? It has one-party politics! Where’s the democracy?!

I’ve got a chemistry test tomorrow on everything we’ve learnt about the transition elements so far - not that I remember any of it!

Yesterday was quite funny. We left our enrichment place and were walking home - past college. Funnily enough Chris wasn’t with us. Where had he gone? Ah…he went home with Ana! LOL! He thought we wouldn’t notice! It’s blatantly obvious he likes her. I jokingly asked him about it today - he said “nothing happened. it was alright”…..yea right…

No doubt, they’d made an interesting couple.

I am really starting to get pissed off with Perspectives on Science - it is such a shitty subject. The class is good apart from this fucking annoying Rhiannon girl - I feel like smacking her! She is so so annoying!!!

Me, Mariah, Marie-Claire, Andy and Luke are planning on going out tomorrow - probably for some bowling and food at Pizza Hut later on - but one problem. Where? Me and Andy want to go to Farnborough - Mariah and Marie-Claire prefer Woking - Luke doesn’t care.

Hopefully we’ll sort this out tomorrow. I’ve got Mariah’s number so I’ll give her a ring tomorrow or send her a text in sec.

Meanwhile - it is now 1930hrs - time to start my revision for the chemistry test tomorrow . Enjoy!

What a bloody busy weekend! I managed to get all the work done - apart from collaborating the EP sources for Jenny (I’ll do that when she*reminds* me)

Mariah, Marie-Claire, Luke and Andy are planning on going out on Friday night  - I’ll probably come along - we’ll go off to the pub first - play pool and then go off to Pizza Hut for some drinks and food. However, if they’re going to do this in Woking, then I’m not coming!

Becky came up to me today and asked me to participate in her Psychology experiment - I did pretty well in it. (She is fine fine fine!) She is absolutely perfect. She’s gorgeous and not a bimbo - she can actually do something apart from most of the girls who just like make-up. Very nice girl.

Biology was interesting. Me, Tom and Shani completely buggered up our photosynthesis experiment. It seems that we put in too little DCPIP in order to see the reduction taking place - whoops! (O yea, this girl who sits on the other side of the class randomly started talking to me today…hmm….wonder why…)

And Vincent still hasn’t paid me my 50p! That fucking cunt! I’ll have to get it off him tomorrow.

The worse part of today was the fasting! I’m one of those people who NEED NEED NEED to have their lunch. But now I can’t, obviously. I’m considering not bothering with this whole fasting thing - I have to get up at 4am - stop eating by 4.45-ish and can’t eat until 7pm - that is torture. (It’ll be even worse when fasting happens in the summer)

Anyway, I’m off now - wonder if I have any homework……..

BTW, 1 hr left!

What a fast week!

I’ve submitted my university application - now my tutor just has to write the reference.

I’m hopeful I’ll get into KCL. I’m not that keen on Oxford - the only scenario I’d go there is if I didn’t get an offer from another other Uni - its a lovely city though, thoroughly recommended to check out.

Vince has applied to KCL as well - that’ll be interesting! We might end up spending the next 5 yrs of our lives together! Lol!

On the homework front, I have a tonne of it to do over the weekend. I’ve just completed my Biology work so that lessens the load.

Chemistry:

- learn oxidation states, colours, complexes of Cu, Co, Cr

- do end-of-chapter questions for Ligands & Complexes

- revise for next weeks’ test

- and something else….can’t remember…

German:

- do 2 paragraphs on Nuclear Energy argument

Perspectives on Science:

- do a literature review on one of the people involved in the discovery of DNA

- do their source logs as well

Maths:

- not sure…must be something

AND OF COURSE:

READ THROUGH THE WEEKS’ NOTES AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE UNDERSTOOD

It’s 2302hrs now - I’m going to either go to sleep or play FM or go downstairs or get something to eat or do something else.

Earlier this week, I had to see dawn about my medicine application. that stupid bitch just wants to keep a check on us! fuck off! what the hell would she know about getting into medicine! she herself didnt get into medicine! how can the blind lead the blind! fucking bitch! she has the most horrible voice in the world!

she’s even pissed off polly now. polly went in to see her on thursday as well. and agreeably, she got told that her AS grades weren’t good enough for her to get into medicine and she was told not to bother. she then took the liberty to call up polly’s tutor and ask her why a girl with polly’s grades was doing 5 subjects. and then margaret(polly’s tutor) had a good chat with polly about it. i don’t know if polly’s doing less subjects now or not though. but what the fuck is dawn doing! UHHHHH!!!!!
